Class of 2026 Scholarship Recipients

The Tribe was proud to be able to award four scholarships this year in the amount of $1000 each.

Requirements for the scholarship include a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, competing in 2 sports of different seasons all four years at KHS and a handwritten essay on how Kingston Athletics has impacted their lives. Scholarship applications are reviewed by a committee for final selections, however I did take a moment to read the essays. The themes I found in each of these student's essays were: Perseverance, Loyalty, Community and Teamwork - all the qualities that we strive for The Tribe to be.

At the conclusion of the 2026 Scholarship Ceremony and the closing of our books for the 2025-2026 Academic Year, The Tribe was able to provide support in the amount of $19,842 to student athletes through meals, snacks, playoff apparel, scholarships and so much more. That number is exciting but also reminder of how truly amazing our community is. Without all of you, our community, The Tribe would not exist. Every purchase from The Tribe puts items back in the hands of our student athletes, so for that - we thank you. (This amount above does not include the donations that were facilitated by The Tribe for other student athlete needs and support.)

Congratulations to Brock Rumer for being selected for the Academic All State Team by OBCA. Brock not only made the Academic All State Team but qualified for the Super 5 1st Team.

Brock wouldn't tell you this himself, because he doesn't like to brag on himself, but the qualifications to be eligible for OBCA Academic All State is a minimum score of a 24 on the ACT. Brock Rumer led the entire field with an ACT score of 35.

Congratulations, Brock! We are so proud of your accomplishments on the court but especially in the classroom.
